Vista Firestars (Virginia):
  • They are the Virginia state champs and made it to the regional semifinals last year.
  • While Vista did not play in the recent Orange Classic, they did play in the Raleigh Shootout in North Carolina in November.  In that tournament, they beat CASL Elite from North Carolina 3-0, tied MSPC Ice from South Carolina 1-1 and lost 1-0 to Colorado Nike Rush (the team that beat Spirit in the finals of the Orange Classic).  With a 1-1-1 record, they did not advance to the semifinals.
Brick Glory (New Jersey):  web site
  • The Region 1 champions are PDA Galaxy from NJ. In last spring's NJ State Cup Brick Glory lost to PDA by only 1-0
  • In this fall's MAPS league, Brick Glory beat PDA 2-1
Group 2
  • Langhorne Strikers from PA, Eastern PA champs.  Beat Spirit 4-0 in last year's Jefferson Cup.
  • Clifton Park from NY; Region 1 finalist
  • South Coast (your favorite team)
GROUP 3
  • Richmond Strikers from VA (host team; state semifinalist; they were in one of the lower groups in the Orange Classic and went 2-0-1)
  • FC Delco from PA; Eastern PA finalist
  • CUP Panthers from Ohio; Ohio south finalist.  The Ohio south champion is DSA Premier who Spirit beat 4-0 in Florida.
Group 4
  • PDA Galaxy from NJ (region 1 champs; see more info above)
  • PWSI Eclipse from Virginia (the team Spirit tied in Florida and then beat in penalty kicks)
  • Greece Cobras from NY (they were in Colorado Nike's group in the Orange Classic; they went 0-2-1 and lost to Nike 2-0)
